The 16th Ordinary General Synod of Bishops on the theme For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission opened this morning with the celebration of Mass and an invitation from the Holy Father for us all to walk with the Holy Spirit.



Please do continue to keep the whole assembly in your prayers. Let us remember in a special way the Irish participants – Bishop Alan McGuckian, Bishop Brendan Leahy, Sr Patricia Murray, IBVM and recently elected President of the Union of International Superiors General, Sr Mary T Barron, OLA, who are all voting members, and Rev Professor Eamonn Conway (as Expert and Facilitator).
